All the Love Island winter 2023 contestants
Occupation: Biomedical science student and influencer
Tanya says she's looking for a boyfriend, but guys with big feet, no socks on in the house, or taking baths without bubbles give her the ick.
She says: "I have vitiligo, which is a skin pigmentation, you may not even notice it. It's on my lip and I have a stripe on my hair. Not many people know that but I think it’s quite cute. I don’t care about covering it up all the time, I think it’s a vibe."
Occupation: Science and PE teacher
Kai describes himself as chilled and caring, and as a Jamaican citizen, has played rugby 7s for Jamaica. He now plays semi-pro rugby for Burnage RFC and says he has "technically got three different degrees".
He says: "I’m single by choice. I’m looking for the right girl. I feel like I have quite high expectations. I don’t feel I should commit to someone unless I’m absolutely buzzing over them, because it’s not fair on them."
Occupation: Makeup artist
Lana says she's worked with lots of celebrities as a makeup artist and even had a brush with fame herself - when she was six and living in Spain, she was an extra in sitcom Benidorm.
She says: "I don’t mind people texting me all the time but if you send me question marks if I’ve not replied to you in a while, you’re gone. That's a really big red flag for me! Also if I see a guy trip over, that's an instant turn off."
Occupation: Financial advisor
Ron thinks he is the most genuine person you will ever meet, and says he's a rarity as a nice guy.
He says: "On meeting me, you’d never know I am blind in one eye. It was the result of a football injury when I was eight; I went in for a header and got kicked in the face. I’ve got two different coloured eyes, one blue and one green.
"It’s added to my character, there are so many people that are worse off than me. And if anything, losing something like that makes you realise that. It’s not hindered me in any shape or form. It’s a good conversation starter I must admit."
Anna-May Robey - DUMPED
Occupation: Payroll administrator
Anna-May says she's a chatterbox who has been finding working from home difficult as she can't talk as much as she'd like, and is under pressure from her mum to find a boyfriend.
She says: "I went on a date once and I never saw him again. We went for food and shared a bottle of wine. As I was speaking to him he fell asleep! I had to clink his wine glass to wake him up."
Will is a farmer on the hunt for a wife, who says he meditates every night and wants Sir David Attenborough to play him in a film of his life.
He says: "Having grown up on a farm, it’s been quite difficult juggling relationships and work. Love Island will give me time away from the farm to solely go out and find love. I think I’m at the time of my life where I’m mature enough to go and find a wife."
From: North London
Occupation: Hair stylist
Tanyel says "pretty boys" give her the ick, but a man who can dance is someone she'll immediately fall in love with.
She says: "I’m hard to get, confident, funny, charismatic, good looking and happy. I’m also a very loyal person, what is there not to love?"
Occupation: Airport security officer
Shaq is a hopeless romantic who wears his heart his sleeve and has a soft spot for the film Dear John.
He says: "I haven’t had the best luck with previous relationships. So I thought, why not be in the sun and potentially meet the love of my life? Hopefully I do come out with my future wife. The person I hope to marry one day. Hopefully she’s in the villa."
Occupation: Ring girl and actress
Olivia is confident, bubbly, and has an exciting career - but at 27, she has never been in a relationship.
She says: "I did a film with Jason Statham and had a nice 10-minute convo about life. I've been a ring girl for KSI, I played a waitress in James Bond with Daniel Craig and I’ve also been a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson."
Haris Namani - DUMPED
Occupation: TV salesman
Haris has never found love and never taken a girl home to meet his family - but thinks all that could change with Love Island.
He says: "I’m different, I’m a unique guy, the way I act; confident, not awkward, especially with the girls. I’m friendly, I’m very respectful as well. Anyone who meets me, I don’t think they have anything bad to say about me. I don’t give them that bad impression to say, ‘Oh, I don’t want to speak to him again.’"
The identities of the first two bombshells were released in advance of the series launch offering fans the chance to vote for who they wanted to go in first.
Viewers chose Tom Clare, who has been followed by a number of other bombshells - including two former stars of Australian Love Island.
Occupation: Senior estate agent coordinator
Samie describes herself as "an honest person with no filter" and says: "All my single friends are starting to settle down, so whenever I suggest a girls’ trip, everyone’s staying in with their boyfriends. I want someone to do that with, too!"
Occupation: E-commerce business owner
Spencer says he's fun, loving and cool, but can easily offend as he has no filter.
He also has no time for fakeness, explaining: "I don’t like the word ‘ick’. I don’t like picking one thing that would put me off someone. But I would say, being fake, I really don’t like that and it gets under my skin. When a girl’s bitchy, that for me is just not a vibe."
Occupation: Personal trainer and influencer
"I’m single and have been for quite some time! I’m very lucky to live the life I lead, but it does get a bit lonely. All of my friends are settling down, and it’s time for me to do the same.
"The last time I had a relationship, it was in the Love Island Australia villa - so let’s go!"
Occupation: Model and content creator
"When I was in the Love Island Australia villa, I didn’t open myself up to other opportunities that I could’ve possibly had. This time round I want to be testing the waters by being open-minded and giving everyone a chance.
"In terms of my experience in the previous villa, I went in there wanting to be myself and I can truly say I felt comfortable in myself in every way so I’d never change it."
Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown
Occupation: Model and property developer
"I’m very loyal but that means I sometimes put others before myself. But this is Love Island so I’m not going to go in there and let the girls takeover because in the past I’ve been like, ‘If you like him, you have him’. I’d be an amazing girlfriend, I’m understanding, caring, fun and sexy."
David Salako - DUMPED
Occupation: Money adviser
"Listen, there’s only one David Salako. There we go. If you’re in a relationship with me it’ll be nothing but good fun, vibes. I think I’m alright looking as well..."
Occupation: Business Development executive
Ellie says she is "the whole package... flirty, forward and very confident".
She added: "When I was drunk I climbed over the gates of my friend's house, fell and almost lost my leg. I was in hospital for two weeks but they stitched me back up. It left me with a big scar on my leg but I’m so blasé about it, if I’m in a bikini you can’t not see it."
Occupation: Semi-pro footballer
Tom says he is mates with Robbie Savage, who is the director of his football club, and is doing Love Island to look for a wife.
But talking about what gives him the ick, he said: "‘Birthday make-up’ - you know when make-up is done professionally for an event and it’s just too much, like blue eyeshadow and stuff? Girls don’t need that."
Love Island returns on 16 January at 9pm on ITV2.
