Love Island's Ron and Lana address fight rumours

Love Island runners-up Ron and Lana have addressed the rumours that they had a fallout on the flight home from South Africa.

The couple appeared on Love Island: The Reunion tonight (March 19) and opened up to host Maya Jama about what life has been like since leaving the villa, and played down reports of a "furious" row.

When asked about it, Ron said: "I had a few too many bevvies, and to be fair Lana just looked after me."

Lana added: "I was caring for him, not arguing with him."

They then explained that they weren't planning on staying in the hotel together on the first night back, so it looked as though they had fallen out, which wasn't the case.

"She was going to the hotel and I was going back home, so we got put into different cabs," Ron explained.

Lana agreed: "Yeah, so I think it just looked worse than it was."

Showing it wasn't as serious as everyone made it out to be, Ron made light of the situation, saying: "I’m not gonna lie, I had a great flight."

Elsewhere on the reunion show, Olivia put her head in her hands upon being shown the clip of her reaction to Kai recouping with Sanam. Olivia took issue with former partner Kai moving on, despite the fact that she too had chosen to recouple with Maxwell.

Accepting that she was wrong to have expected Kai to apologise and that she may have over-reacted, Olivia told Maya: "You know what, I respect his decision not to apologise. And I really agree it wasn't necessary. And I'm so happy for the two of you and I'm happy I've got Maxwell."

She then added: "I don't even recognise myself in that clip. I don't know what was coming out of my mouth."

Love Island airs on ITV2, and is available via catch-up on ITVX and BritBox.
