From Town & Country

Taking photos of young children can be tough. If they aren't crying, they're not looking at the camera, or fighting with their simbling. But royal wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski managed to get all-well, most of-the bridesmaids and page boys to smile for the camera (little John Mulroney was very stoic in the large group picture).

Perhaps his most impressive feat is that he got a big grin out of Prince George in both of the official royal wedding portraits. He had appeared to be a bit shy earlier in the day, hanging on to Prince William's arm.

So how did Lubomirski do it? He bribed them with candy, simply asking, "Who likes Smarties?"

According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, Lubomirski "says he got all the kids (and possibly even Harry & Meghan) to grin for their #RoyalWedding portrait by calling out "Who likes Smarties?!" as they had been getting them as treats throughout the day🍬"

Smarties in the U.K. aren't the sugary, chalky candies you might be imagining. Rather, they're more like M & Ms-brightly colored circular treats with milk chocolate in the center.

"It has been an incredible honor and privilege to document the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's inspiring journey of love, hope and family; from the engagement photos, to the wedding portraits on Saturday," Lubomirski said of the experience on Monday on Twitter. "Thank you to everyone at @kensingtonroyal and @theroyalfamily."

He also thanked everyone on Instagram for their support and encouragement in the lead up to the big day.
