I have spent the last decade curating the most perfect denim collection, consisting of new and vintage straight-leg Levi’s and mom-style jean cuts. However, since I put on a little weight over the last year, my denim capsule collection has become obsolete. The upside? I started selling my old jeans, and I’m using the money to craft a new collection.
My most recent denim pick-up was during Amazon Prime Day in June, when I got the Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans for a steal. I’ve been wearing them non-stop since and plan to stock up on a few more washes while they’re 40 percent off ahead of Prime Big Deal Days on October 10 and 11.
While I own these cropped jeans in the wash Love in the Mist, a medium wash with no distressing, they’re available in a variety of other cuts, washes, prints, and distress levels in sizes 24 through 32. The cropped length stops a few inches above the ankle, and they have a high-rise silhouette that fits snugly throughout the hip and thigh. The denim has a bit of stretch, which allows for a bit of give where needed.

During the last few months of wearing these wedgie straight jeans, I have found that they get softer with each wash and that the seaming and fit accentuated my curves, giving my rear a flattering lift. The high waist and placement of the pockets (which sit higher on the bum) also help give the illusion of extra definition. And don’t be put off by the word “wedgie” being in the name — they’re super comfortable and don’t ride up.
Besides how great my butt looks in these jeans, I also love how easy to style they are. During the summer, I was pairing them with sandals and tanks, and now that the temperature is starting to drop, I can’t wait to pair them with ankle boots and a sweater over a button-down shirt.
