I’m a Picky Fashion Editor, but Even I'm Losing It Over These 21 Black Friday Deals

*That’s* how good they are.
It’s a little hard being picky—and though I wasn’t always this way, I’m now fully embracing the #pickylifestyle. When I was younger, I was much willing to try things (from fashion to food to activities), but after developing a more refined taste—in all aspects of my life—over the years, I’m now what you’d call, well, picky, and I’m totally okay with it, especially when huge shopping holidays, like Black Friday 2024 come around.
That said, this pickiness has certainly made shopping a bit more difficult. I’m not easily impressed, and this started when I began my career in fashion. I was exposed to some of the best of the best in the sartorial world and developed an eye for quality and construction. Fast-fashion lost its interest for me, and I wanted to invest in well-made pieces with long term wearability, which is still my shopping ethos, even when everything goes on sale post-Thankgiving. I don’t let the price reductions sway me to shop for something I normally wouldn’t.
Now, whether you consider yourself picky or not, I think you’ll find something jaw-dropping-worthy on this list that you won’t be able to say no to. And rest assured: Everything that made the cut is 100 percent worth it, thanks to quality, look, price, and more. Shop the best picky editor-approved Black Friday fashion deals below.

Splendid the Classic Turtleneck
I know that the post-Tankgiving shopping experience can feel like a wild ride. You see one thing you like, but then you’re pulled in another direction because you saw something while scrolling on Instagram, and then you received a text from your sister saying she bought something you need. Eventually, you end up with 10-plus tabs open and a final checkout price way higher than you expected. Alas, this won’t happen this year, because I curated the only 20 things you need.
From the best boots I’ve ever tried (no joke!) to the comfiest turtleneck you’ll wear with everything this season and beyond, shop the best Black Friday 2024 fashion deals, according to me, a picky editor with excellent taste.
Best Black Friday Clothing Deals
I do my best shopping on Black Friday; it’s like a superpower that comes out and isn’t playing around. I know the brands I love, which are the first deals I scope out, and I also keep a running list of “Things I Want, but Can’t Buy Now!” which I turn to immediately when the deals start rolling in. As luck would have it (or, my really strategic shopping brain), my go-to Spanx pants are marked down (I’m stocking up!), as well as this super-cuddly 7 For All Mankind cashmere cardigan that my husband will probably steal from me.
7 For All Mankind Cashmere Boyfriend Cardigan
I love a cuddly knit when I see one, but what I particularly appreciate about this 7 For All Mankind pick is the oversized fit that really makes it feel like a snuggly blanket. Plus, I’ll never pass up cashmere on sale.
Madewell Cotton-Blend Off-Shoulder Sweater
I used to love wearing off-the-shoulder sweaters in the early aughts, and it seems that lobe is officially coming back. I’m eyeing this stylish but classic Madewell sweater that’s just the right amount of chunky and oversized.
Pistola Ryder High-Rise Jeans
There’s one thing I love more than butt-lifting denim, and that’s cuffed jeans. These from Pistola are perfect in every category, from the wash to the fit to the price, which is marked down 30 percent for a limited time. Hurry!

Best Black Friday Shoe Deals
I love shoes, and I’ll scream that from the rooftops. Whenever I have the opportunity to refresh my footwear collection, I’ll take it, and right now, all of my favorite brands are running a massive Black Friday sale, including these timeless heels from my all-time favorite Italian brand, M.Gemi, and these ultra-luxe suede slouch boots that are too good to pass up. Sorry to my hallway closet, but it's about to get even fuller.
Scarlett Chase Portia 75 Stretch Bootie
Boots that feel like sneakers? Yes, please. I own a few of these Scarlett Chase boots, and every time they impress me with their comfort. The cherry on top? They’re also super sexy. They never go on sale, so while they’re marked down 15 percent, I’m surely stocking up.
M.Gemi The Lisinda
I think I’m M.Gemi’s biggest fan (right ahead of my mom and my sister), and after trying the brand for years, I can confidently say that every style, from its heels to its flats, are a 10 out of 10. Next up? These amazing kitten heels that I plan on wearing with frilly socks.
Franco Sarto Khloe Pointed-Toe Kitten Heel Pump
I own these in red, but I’m itching to add a classic black pair to my rotation, too; that’s how good they are. The heel is perfect for walking all-day, while the added front strap adds dimension and edge to an otherwise simple silhouette.
