WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Game of Thrones.

  • On Sunday night's episode of Game of Thrones, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Gendry (Joe Dempsie) sleep together, which came as a surprise to fans.

  • Williams responded to the buzz on Twitter today, saying her her mother, step dad, two sisters, and four brothers have also watched the scene.

  • The actress previously described Gendry and Arya's dynamic as a "very human relationship" for her character.

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has broken her social media silence after her character, Arya, had her first sex scene in Sunday's episode. The 22-year-old actress subliminally responded to criticism that the intimate moment between Arya and Gendry was "uncomfortable" to watch, as some viewers were concerned about her age. (FYI, Arya was about 11 years old when GoT started but is 18 this season.)

Williams simply shut down her haters by pointing out that if anyone should be feeling awkward about that scene, it should be her-because her entire family watched it.

"if u feel uncomfortable just know that my mother and my step dad and my 2 sisters and my 4 brothers have all probably watched this too ahahakillmeehehe," she tweeted this afternoon. Touché, Maisie.

The hookup between Arya and Gendry takes place at Winterfell the night before the battle against the White Walkers and wights. With death looming, Arya tells Gendry that she wants to know "what that's like," speaking of sex, before she possibly meets her end. The duo first became travel companions in earlier episodes of GoT then reunited for the first time in years this season. Now that they're back together, they're seeing each other as more than just friends.

"It was really interesting because it’s a very human relationship for Arya," Williams said of the love scene to Entertainment Weekly. "This is something she’s stayed away from, an emotion we’ve never really seen her engage with. David and Dan were like, 'It’s the end of the world, what else would you have her do?'"

Williams isn't the only one GoT star who's responded to the Arya-Gendry dynamic on social media. Yesterday, her co-star and best friend Sophie Turner took a much more humorous and cheeky route, trolling Williams about the big moment in her Instagram Story.

"In honor of Easter, I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop, hop, hoppin' into that pussy... and that's the tea," she says in the video. Then she chugs a glass of wine.
