Man jumps to his death from the roof of the Trump International Hotel and Tower
A man leaped to his death from the roof of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York City Sunday morning.
The 41-year-old, believed to be mentally ill, was witnessed plunging from the building's 44th floor just before 8 a.m., witnesses told New York Daily News.
Emergency responders removed the body of Kyle Mulrooney roughly two hours after his death.
Mulrooney was said to have landed in the front courtyard of the hotel property, just behind the hotel marquee, not too far from the sidewalk.

The luxury hotel sits about a mile away from the president's New York office in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue.
Shortly before he took the fatal jump, Mulrooney's 67-year-old mother, who resided with him in an apartment close to the luxury hotel, alerted cops that her son was schizophrenic, on drugs and had plans to commit suicide.
