Mandy Moore Is Sexy and ’70s in a See-Through Shirt

The 1970s style clearly suits Mandy Moore — something we’ve learned while watching the first season of This Is Us, half of which takes place in the 1970s.

Moore is like a canvas waiting to be painted in wild patterns, floppy hats, and middle parts. The singer and actress has embraced the look in her real life, too. She represented her show at NBC Universal’s winter press tour in a sexy ’70s ensemble.

Stepping out of her TV role as a mom, Moore look supersultry in a see-through navy blue shirt. The sleeveless blouse revealed her bra and toned tummy. It’s not often we see this revealing side of the child pop star, but recently she’s been daring to bare.

Moore wore a Dalia Maxi dress in navy from designer Solace London to the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards in December; the gown had a plunging neckline (a style she repeated at the 2017 Golden Globes Awards), along with column-styled maxi-skirt that hugged the body and a completely open back that revealed her sides as well.

But then a few weeks later, she revisited the 1970s in a picnic-perfect gingham dress. The color blocking, twisty bodice, off the shoulder sleeves and peekaboo midriff had ’70s stylistas drooling.

Getting back to her most recent look, Moore tucked the sheer top into a pleated shin-grazing skirt that featured a flower-power-friendly pattern of red, blue, white, and yellow. Her wavy brown hair tumbled freely over her shoulders, parted in the middle, and her side bangs were slightly flared, giving a hint of that famous ’70s feathered look.

Clearly, this woman is a hippy at heart. She did release an album of covers — 2003’s Coverage — half of which were songs from the ’70s, after all.
