Before falling on hard times and moving to Schitt’s Creek, the Roses lived in the lap of luxury.

The mega-mansion featured on the hit show is for sale in real life for $14,980,000. Property taxes will set you back $62,000 a year.

It’s located in Toronto’s swanky St Andrew-Windfields neighborhood in Toronto, where the average selling price is up a mere 1 per cent compared to last year. Prices in the Greater Toronto Area as a whole are up 15 per cent.

People just aren’t paying up for mansions like they used to, and the list price on this piece of Canadian TV history has come down from $21,788,800 in 2018. So you could almost call this a ‘steal’, as long as you’re among the ultra-rich of course.

Scroll through for a peek inside. Photos are courtesy of Homelife/Vision Realty and the listing can be found here.

La Belle Maison is a massive 24,000 square feet, 3 storeys, and sits on half an acre. No wonder the rundown Rosebud motel just wasn’t cutting it.

There’s plenty of room for guests, or if you pool together your money with a dozen or more of your best friends to buy it. It has 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.

Balconies and frescoes were inspired by the Sistine Chapel. Stained-glass skylights light up the foyer clad with marble.

You can take a dip in the outdoor pool on a nice day. No problem if the weather doesn’t cooperate, because there’s an indoor pool too.

When the pandemic is finally behind us, there’s a banquet room for when it’s time to party.

There’s a wine cellar, massage room, and a media theatre to watch, what else, but Schitt's Creek reruns.

There's more of that Sistine Chapel inspired artwork on the dining room ceiling if you get sick of watching your guests chewing across the table.
