Throughout her life and career, Sarah Jessica Parker has worn many hats — both figuratively (as an actress, designer, wife, and mother) and literally. She’s never been one to shy away from making a fashion statement, and quite often, her unique headpieces are the most striking part of her outfits.

On Wednesday, SJP attended the Museum of the Moving Image’s Annual Salute in New York wearing a ruffled, olive green dress by Rosie Assoulin paired with a black headpiece covered in grosgrain bows and sparkling jewels. For Parker, the look was somewhat subdued — but it was just the latest in a long string of toppers that have helped define the real-life Carrie Bradshaw as a style icon.
