Martha Stewart Plowing Snow Is a Winter Treat

A photo of Martha Stewart plowing snow at her home in Bedford, N.Y., has captivated the Internet, with many expressing shock and delight over the businesswoman’s gusto.

In the image posted Tuesday to Instagram, Stewart is bundled up in a hooded winter coat and boots and stands beside her snowplow. “I am at it again!!” she wrote to her 108K followers. “Snow plowing with my new Polaris plow. It works so well but the snow is falling so fast, the roads need constant plowing.”

The post received more than 3,500 likes, and many commenters praised the 75-year-old for her efforts in the face of winter storm Stella, which has affected 18 million people by blanketing the East Coast. Some comments: “You are adorable Martha, I just love you,” “Martha you’re so damn cute,” “What a go-getter,” and #badass.”

Stewart runs a multimillion-dollar empire, so she’s more than capable of operating a snowplow. She’s also built her fortune dispensing domestic advice, so taking basic safety precautions to remove snow and ice from her driveway doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch.

Still, the idea of Stewart driving a snowplow seems to tickle people. In February when she tweeted an image of her plowing snow in a pickup truck, she was called a “Fearless Blizzard Hero.” Fans remarked that she was “ambitious,” while one said she was in need of “rescue.”

However, Stewart, who is a former Chanel model and stockbroker, has done hard time (her prison name was “M Diddy”), she’s BFF with Snoop Dog, and she drinks buttermilk straight from the carton. So we’d say she can handle herself just fine.
