Martha Stewart, 82, said she uses Botox and other cosmetic treatments to look youthful.
Stewart spoke to her dermatologist on "The Martha Stewart Podcast" about the treatments she's done.
"I don't think a lot about age, but I don't want to look my age at all," Stewart said.
Martha Stewart, 82, said she uses Botox, fillers, and other cosmetic treatments.
In the latest episode of "The Martha Stewart Podcast," the lifestyle icon spoke to her dermatologist, Dan Belkin, about beauty treatments and aging.
"Everybody is so interested when they see a selfie of me posted on the internet," Stewart said on the podcast. "So many comments are about my facelift, and who did it, and when did I have it done and how much retouching is on the photograph, and I just want to set the record straight."
During the conversation, Belkin described the different types of cosmetic treatments he's done for Stewart, including Botox, facial fillers, lasers, and skin-tightening procedures.
"I've tried to give you a little lift. It hasn't really worked that well on the upper face, but I think neuromodulators like Botox have worked really well for you on the lower face," Belkin said.
Regarding facial fillers, Belkin said he uses them "very conservatively" on Stewart in her cheeks and along her jaw.
"I think you're a real testament to the idea that taking care of your body, taking care of your skin, doing sort of minimally invasive treatments conservatively and regularly can keep you looking beautiful at any age," Belkin told Stewart on the podcast.
During the conversation, Stewart said she hasn't had plastic surgery.
"And it's not cutting me and sewing me up. It is really preventive and very encouraging because it really does make me look better," she said.
In addition to cosmetic treatments, Stewart credits exercise and a healthy diet for helping her look youthful.
"I don't think a lot about age, but I don't want to look my age at all," Stewart said. "That's why I really work hard at it. I work hard at my exercise, I work hard at my diet, which is a very healthy, normal diet."
She added that she doesn't try any fad diets or diet pills.
"I just eat really well and I watch what I eat, and that's really the secret," she said on the podcast.
In May 2023, Stewart became the oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover star.
"I didn't eat a lot during that time. I was concentrating," Stewart said. "I was doing more Pilates than I was doing eating."
This is not Stewart's first time shutting down plastic surgery rumors.
Shortly after her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover was released, Stewart told Variety that she's never had plastic surgery.
"I've had absolutely no plastic surgery whatsoever. I have very healthy, good hair. I drink green juice every day. I take my vitamins. I eat very healthfully. I have very good skin doctors. I'm very careful in the sun. I wear hats, and I wear sunblock every single day," Stewart said.
A representative for Stewart did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI sent outside regular business hours.
