Any city-dwelling woman will know: Backpacks are a girl’s best friend.

Hop off the train in any major city, and you’ll see the standard working-girl uniform: Sneakers, mom jeans and a Matt & Nat backpack.

While some trends aren’t worth jumping on (remember ModRobes?) Matt & Nat vegan leather goods are pieces that will stylishly carry you through any and every fashion season.

The brand’s is so popular that their Brave backpack sold out 10 times last year. But fear not: The hot ticket item is back in stock, is available in 10 different colours and can even fit a 13 inch laptop.

So who exactly are Matt & Nat? Founded in Montreal in 1995, the brand derives its name from its two inspirations: Materials (Matt) and nature (Nat). Committed to using non-animal based materials, in 2007 the brand switched to using liners for their goods made from 100 per recycled plastic.
