Megan Fox accuses Brian Austin Green of making her look like an ‘absent mother’ while he’s ‘dad of the year’

Watch: Megan Fox calls out ex Brian Austin Green for portraying her as an 'absent mother'

Megan Fox publicly put estranged husband Brian Austin Green on blast for posting photos of their children on social media. In the personal and scathing post, she claimed it’s part of a larger issue of the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum — from whom she separated in November 2019 — trying to paint her as an “absent mother” on social media. This has led Vanessa Marcil, who also shares a child with Green, to weigh in as well, supporting Fox.

Green posted a photo from Halloween, showing a side view of his Yeti costume, as their youngest child, Journey, 4, dressed as a superhero, stood behind him, writing, "Hope you all had a good Halloween!” Fox, who has moved on romantically with her Midnight in the Switchgrass co-star and “twin flame” Machine Gun Kelly earlier this year — went off in the comments.

“Why does Journey have to be in this picture?” Fox wrote. “It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in. I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media."

She continued, "I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via Instagram. You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year. You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human!"

Fox concluded her comment by writing, "Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?"

Green didn’t respond publicly, but deleted the original post — with Fox’s comment captured by the Comments by Celebs Instagram — and reposted the photo with Journey cropped out.

It’s not clear what set off Fox in this case as Green posts photos of their children — also Noah, 8, and Bodhi, 6 — all the time. Apparently, she reached her tipping point — and did so very publicly.

Fox’s comment has gotten a lot of attention, including from Green’s ex, Marcil. The exes, who met on the set of 90210, share an 18-year-old son, Kassius, and battled for years over his custody, starting in 2006. Kassius just reconnected with Green last year after years of estrangement.

“Like I said... The Truth always comes out in the end....” Marcil wrote with the hashtag #ImWithYouSister.”

Marcil publicly showed support for Fox amid the high-profile divorce back in September when she applauded the Transformers star for “living life for herself.” Marcil also said she was “never in love” with Green, to whom she was engaged, and called him a “very angry/sad human being.”

Green and Fox quietly split in November 2019, when she returned home from a movie shoot and told him she was happier being apart from him. She started making Switchgrass in March and had an immediate connection with Kelly (real name: Colson Baker). While the production was halted due to the pandemic, the new couple returned to L.A. together and started dating, going public in May after Green confirmed he and Fox had split.

Fox’s romance with Kelly has garnered a lot of attention with Fox starring in his “Bloody Valentine” music video and declaring him her “twin flame,” which she said is a deeper connection than a soulmate. Kelly recently met Fox’s children with Green with a source telling People magazine the new couple is “planning a future together.”
