Jimmy Kimmel and Michael Bay are getting heat after an old Megan Fox clip resurfaced over the weekend. In a 2009 interview with Kimmel, Fox described having to dance for the Transformers director in a bikini at age 15 as the late night host smiled.
“I had just turned 15 and I was an extra in Bad Boys II,” Fox explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “They were shooting this club scene and they brought me in and I was wearing a stars and stripes bikini and a red cowboy hat and, like, six-inch heels. He approved it and they said, ‘Michael, she’s 15 so you can’t sit her at the bar and she can’t have a drink in her hand.’ So his solution to that problem was to then have me dancing underneath a waterfall getting soaking wet.”
The audience laughed as Kimmel quipped, “Perfectly wholesome.”
“At 15, I was in 10th grade. That’s kind of a microcosm of how Bay’s mind works,” Fox added.
“Yeah, well that’s really a microcosm of how all our minds work,” Kimmel replied.
“Oh, OK,” Fox sarcastically said.
“Some of us have the decency to repress those thoughts and pretend that they don’t exist,” Kimmel added. At another point during the interview, he gave Fox a drawing of himself and the actress “together” in bed. In the image, he’s trying to stick his tongue in her mouth.
It’s been a rough few days for Kimmel on social media, who recently announced he was going on summer hiatus. The Emmy winner was slammed after an old clip of him in blackface resurfaced.
The video of Fox talking about Bay on Kimmel has been viewed 6 million times and counting.

The clip prompted a separate Twitter thread about the unfair treatment Fox has endured throughout her career to go viral.
Fox got her big break in 2007’s Transformers. She had to audition by washing Bay’s Ferrari while he filmed her. After starring in the first two Transformers films, Fox was fired for comparing Bay to Hitler and that he was “a nightmare to work for.” The director’s crew retaliated by writing an open letter, calling the actress “dumb as rocks” and “trailer trash,” and that being a “porn star” could be “a good career option.” The actress’s mistreatment by the media was also highlighted.
In an open letter written by Bay’s crew that was published on his website (although many people believe it was written by Bay himself due to the language used ), she was called “dumb as rocks”, “trailer trash”, “a porn star”, a narrative the media fully embraced and perpetuated. pic.twitter.com/FVzzW4Hkit

Megan Fox was the victim of an industry that took advantage of and forced an image and a narrative onto her, and when she tried to stand up for herself, they ostracized her. The media was complicit and the general public just stood by and watched.

In a 2018 interview amid the #MeToo movement, Fox was asked by the New York Times if she felt she deserved an apology. Although Fox admitted she was ahead of her time speaking out over a decade ago, she explained how she didn’t think anyone would believe her about her own experiences because people don’t consider her “normal or relatable or likable.”
“Even with the #MeToo movement, and everyone coming out with stories — and one could assume that I probably have quite a few stories, and I do — I didn’t speak out for many reasons,” Fox said. “I just didn’t think based on how I’d been received by people, and by feminists, that I would be a sympathetic victim. And I thought if ever there were a time where the world would agree that it’s appropriate to victim-shame someone, it would be when I come forward with my story.”
Many people were quick to defend Fox over the resurfaced stories, with practically everyone agreeing she deserved better.
crazy how all this happened to megan fox 10 years ago. and the only thing that came of it was megan fox being called a slut and robbed of the career she deserved. pic.twitter.com/QG5ZadDFQi

remember how Megan Fox was like "Hollywood is full of powerful men who openly sexualize children, on camera, and off. it happened to me..." and everyone laughed at her, then said, "duh! every man sexualizes kids!" and then laughed again? yeah. pic.twitter.com/D4H2ELgdUk

I feel like I’m looking at all of this information with fresh eyes. We should’ve fought for Megan Fox 😩 She’s a queen who felt like she couldn’t tell her #MeToo story bc she didn’t embody the traditional “victim”. Deadass watching Jennifer’s Body, rn. Collect that royalty💰sis! https://t.co/biahP0psoM

Everybody failed Megan. It makes me so angry because she always has been outspoken about it and something should have been done but now feels like she can’t and it’s all so fucked. https://t.co/3DYIYNs7WO

i’m not usually interested in defending white women, but i think about how dirty we did Megan Fox a lot. here she is telling Jimmy Kimmel about how she played a stripper at 15 year old & a room full of people laughing in response. the collective gaslighting of this woman... https://t.co/nNtsnH2TZV

megan fox apart from being sexualized by michael bay as a kid she also appeared in a episode of two and a half men as a 16 y/o girl who was too sexy for her age and both alan and charlie sheen's character wanted to have sex with her.
im absolutely disgusted pic.twitter.com/MXrnu1z2vN

megan fox deserved better than being overly sexualised from the time she was a child by male directors and then being blacklisted when she spoke up about it while those men continued having careers

Two things: Megan Fox was a victim of an industry that took advantage of her, and what Michael Bay did was disgusting. She deserved better.
Also, she was goddamn brilliant in Jennifer’s Body, a film that deserves a second chance. pic.twitter.com/ipefEtjB4o

Bay and Fox, who both started trending on Twitter, ultimately made amends as she starred in his recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Fox, Bay and Kimmel haven’t addressed anything on social media.
