Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are heading to Sandringham to spend Christmas with the Queen this year, and it pretty much sounds like the most extra thing ever. You can brush up on royal holiday protocol right this way, but there's one particular "tradition" that's fully wild - it might mean that Meghan and Harry will have to spend Christmas morning apart.

According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, it's typical for royal women to stay in their bedrooms and have breakfast delivered to them, while men eat breakfast downstairs.

"On Christmas Day, the ladies generally opt for a light breakfast of sliced fruit, half a grapefruit, toast and coffee delivered to their rooms," McGrady wrote in an article for The Daily Mail, adding that the men eat a heartier meal of "eggs, bacon and mushrooms, kippers, and grilled kidneys."

Of course, one presumes that if the duchesses and princesses in the royal family wanted to join "the men" downstairs for a feast of kidneys they could! Either way, Meghan and Harry are known for bending the rules, ahem.
