Prince Charles turns 70 on November 14, and his birthday will be commemorated three weeks beforehand with a concert and dinner at Buckingham Palace on October 25. However, there are two close family members that won't be in attendance at the iconic celebration, and that's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Even though Prince Charles' 70th birthday is undoubtedly important, Prince Harry and Meghan will actually be on their first royal tour when the party takes place. Sadly, as Harry and Meghan will be touring Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga for the last two weeks of October, they won't make it back to the United Kingdom in time for Charles' party.

However, as ELLE notes, Meghan and Harry did in fact already attend a party in Prince Charles' honor, back in May 2018. Royal fans will remember that, mere days after the royal wedding, Harry and Meghan attended a Buckingham Palace garden party honoring Prince Charles, instead of absconding on their honeymoon.

It's likely that the royals put in an appearance at the garden party because they knew their first royal tour would clash with Prince Charles' birthday concert.

Despite the fact that Harry and Meghan will miss the occasion, Prince Charles can take solace in the fact that Kate Middleton and Prince William will definitely be in attendance at the celebration, as the Duchess of Cambridge is due to return to work following her six-month maternity leave, per Vanity Fair.
