For what is believed to be her final solo royal engagement, Meghan Markle visited a school to mark International Women’s Day.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, looked as stylish as ever for the trip to the Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham on Friday.

She wore a chic ensemble, including a belted cream boucle jacket from Me And Em over a white top, black tailored trousers and a pair of heels.

To finish off her look, the mum-of-one accessorised with an elegant gold necklace, which could be seen in pictures of her giving a speech to pupils during an assembly.

The statement piece is by luxury jewellery brand Edge Of Ember, and is priced at £125.

According to their website, the ‘Kismet Charm Necklace’ is “inspired by vintage coins found in Asia”.

They add that “these modern-day talismans carry icons of good fortune”.

“The square Kismet Necklace pairs a four leaf clover with the lucky number 7, for double doses of good fortune.”

Made from 18k gold-plated sterling silver, the necklace comes in two chain lengths. You can also buy the pendant separately for a more affordable £75.

Earlier this week, for a visit to the National Theatre, the duchess also wore a pair of their £65 ‘Wave’ earrings.

Also describing the product - which is an 18k gold vermeil wave - on their website, they wrote: “These stud earrings conjure visions of rippling waves on a balmy summer evening.”

For the same event, she wore a £29 organza puffed-sleeve white blouse by Topshop.

On Thursday evening, Meghan wowed in a £950 blue dress by Victoria Beckham at the Endeavour Fund Awards in London.

She wore the bold turquoise fitted midi number with a sleek ponytail, berry lip and coordinating navy accessories, including a pair of heels by Manolo Blahnik.

In an Instagram post this morning, the duchess shared a behind-the-scenes video of her trip to the school.

It showed her being cheered on by delighted pupils who gave her a standing ovation, and she was also seen joining children in lessons, chatting to teachers and giving a speech during an assembly.

The caption of the clip, on the @SussexRoyal account, read: “Happy International Women’s Day!

“Here, a glimpse of The Duchess’ visit to the Robert Clack School to hear from the students on what IWD means to them, and how we can all uplift one another.

”Tag an inspiring woman in your life and tell us what #IWD2020 means to you.

”More behind the scenes moments coming soon...”
