Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton reunite to celebrate father-in-law Prince Charles

A day after Kensington Palace issued new guidelines to combat online attacks against the royals amid negative reports about Meghan Markle and rumors that she and Kate Middleton don’t get along, the two duchesses put on happy faces Tuesday in support of Prince Charles.

Kate and Meghan joined their husbands to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their father-in-law’s Investiture; Charles was formally named the Prince of Wales in 1969, and Tuesday’s reception at Buckingham Palace featured Welsh performers.

Proving that mint green truly is her go-to color of the moment, Kate wore a midi-length pale green dress with a ruffled neck and button-front bodice.

Her pregnant sister-in-law, meanwhile, opted for a silver and gold brocade sheath that fell to the knee, which she paired with a cream Amanda Wakeley Crombie coat, pink satin Wilbur & Gussie clutch and suede Paul Andrew heels.
