  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reported multiple low-flying drones to the LAPD.

  • The royal couple is concerned for their family’s safety and will be beefing up security.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently moved to Los Angeles and are staying in Tyler Perry’s multimillion-dollar mansion as they look for a permanent home—and apparently, there have been some privacy issues.

A source tells the Daily Beast that the couple is concerned for their family’s safety and dealing with “unimaginable” levels of intrusion thanks to drones flying just 20 feet above their property to take photos of them with their son, Archie.

“They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that,” a source says. “Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them. But aside from that, imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how that would feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?”

This is obviously just awful, and Meghan and Harry plan to hire their own security team to deal with the problem, with the source saying, “They are not asking for any special treatment and have not received any.”

In the meantime, the couple has reported five “drone-related incidents” to the LAPD in the month of May, with the most recent incident being on Memorial Day, when Meghan and Harry were trying to play with Archie by the pool.

“It’s like people forget they are real people,” the source says. “But this is a real family. They are not asking for any special treatment. They are just asking for the safety and security we all expect in our own homes to be respected.”

Ugh, let’s hope Meghan and Harry’s privacy is respected from here on out.
