From Town & Country

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials ticked all the important royal wedding boxes: the tiara, the classic dress, and the impressive guest list. But it wasn't a strictly by-the-book affair.

From the gospel choir singing "Stand By Me" to a rousing sermon by American Bishop Michael Curry to Meghan walking half the length of the aisle solo, the day was full of untraditional touches, which made the it feel unique.

Perhaps one of the most notable unconventional choices was one the world didn't get to see: Meghan Markle reporteldy gave a speech at her evening wedding reception.

According to the Daily Mail, Meghan is "thought to have thanked the Royal Family for welcoming her in."

Earlier this year, the Sunday Timesreported that Meghan was planning on making 'affectionate' tribute to Harry, which would also thank not only her family and friends but also specifically the Queen.

While the toast was reportedly planned for months, it takes on new meaning since Meghan's father, Thomas Markle Sr., was unable to attend the royal wedding for health reasons. Fathers of the bride traditionally make a speech at their daughters' wedding receptions.

Markle Sr. had been planning on attending up until about a week before the wedding. He is reportedly recovering from heart surgery in California, and was able to watch the wedding from the States.

Meghan reportedly made this speech at the more intimate evening reception at Frogmore House, which had only 200 guests.

While it's unlikely that any other details from her toast will leak, we'll be sure to update should anything be made public.
