When Meghan Markle slipped on a pair of solid black Rothy’s during her royal tour of Australia with Prince Harry in 2018, sales of the pointed flat sky-rocketed.

The sustainable footwear company experienced what many have called “The Markle Effect” after it was introduced to a new world of royal watchers and fans eager to take style cues from the Duchess fo Sussex.

“It was already our number one shoe, thank God, so we had a shipment coming in by boat the next day—unrelated to Meghan. We never ran out of stock, which was awesome. The day Meghan wore the Black Point, sales of the style rose four times,” Rothy’s vice president of marketing Elie Donahue told PureWow last year. “We also saw sales of other classic colours—marigold, persimmon and more—double. Same with our site traffic. We grew our Instagram following, our email list and we may have sold out of the Black Point in our San Francisco store location for a minute. It was October when she wore them and we saw—and continue to see—a lift that carried well past that day.”

While celebrities like Mandy Moore, Katie Holmes and Jessica Biel are all reported Rothy’s fans, nothing beats receiving the Markle stamp of approval.

Now, Rothy’s is putting its best foot forward this spring with a selection of new, vibrant hues.

For those looking to update their spring shoe game, Rothy’s classic pointed flats are now available in bold indigo, mint, chocolate brown and fiesty animal print.

Despite the new look, each pair of Rothy’s shoes are made from the brand’s signature thread crafted from repurposed water bottles.

With a zero break in period, these machine washable flats are a stylish and comfortable go-to for your everyday wardrobe.

“I love the way they look, fit, and feel. I’ve already bought a second pair,” one Rothy’s shopper wrote. “I love the pointy toe shoes and they are just right for me. I also am very happy to do my part in saving the environment from a few plastic bottles. I followed online advice that I had previously read about the shoes. I normally wear an 8 1/2, I ordered a nine and they are perfect.”

Another added, “I cannot stop staring at my feet when I'm wearing them. The colour pops in just the right way. Love them.”
