Meghan Markle Signs New Podcast Deal with Lemonada Media

Meghan Markle is returning to podcasting!

The Duchess of Sussex previously hosted one podcast, Archetypes, exclusively for Spotify. In total, the season featured twelve episodes, which saw Meghan interviewing guests including Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling, and Mariah Carey. Last year, the music streaming company and Meghan and Prince Harry's Archewell Audio "mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together."

Now, Meghan has signed with Lemonada Media. Per Deadline, "The move will see her launch a new podcast series and Lemonada will also distribute her previous Spotify series Archetypes to all podcast platforms."

"I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting," the Duchess of Sussex said in a statement. "Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."

In the last episode of Archetypes season one, she said, "We're working on other ways to keep the conversation going, "but just know that as we close out this season of Archetypes, that I thank you. Thank you for listening and learning with me. This has been liberating and healing and it's been fun." It's as yet unclear if she'll make a season two of Archetypes, but it seems as if the deal will focus on a new show.
