From Town & Country

Every day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal tour has been jam-packed, but today's events are particularly high-profile-and Markle chose a favorite dress to recycle for the occasion.

At last year's Invictus Games in Toronto, Markle was in attendance, but in a separate section from her future husband. Now that they're official, that's all changed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were front and center to watch the opening ceremony at the Sydney Opera house.

According to the blog Meghan's Mirror, the Duchess wore navy a Stella McCartney cape dress and a navy coat by Gillian Anderson for Winser London (yes, Gillian Anderson the actress). She finished the look with simple Stuart Weitzman pumps.

The dress is one that's been in the Duchess's collection since before her wedding to Harry. She wore it last year to a concert for Queen Elizabeth's 92nd birthday in London.

The Invictus Games Opening Ceremony, which is held in an open-air theater, was delayed because of thunderstorms. Earlier in the day, Harry was seen practicing his speech for an audience of one, his wife.

When he finally had a chance to give his speech, Harry thanked everyone for for the enthusiastic welcome he and his wife have received since they arrived and spoke movingly of how proud he was of his new family. (The Duke and Duchess announced that Meghan was expecting their first child on the first day of the royal tour.)

"Thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days," Harry said. "I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all."

In the past, after the pomp and circumstance of the Opening, the Invictus Games have given Markle a chance to dress down. Last year, she opted for ripped jeans, and oxford shirt, and brown leather heels to watch the Wheelchair Tennis competition. Tortoiseshell sunglasses finished off the simple look.

We might see a casual outfit tomorrow, when the Duke and Duchess are slated to watch the cycling and sailing competitions.

After Sunday, the royal couple won't return to Sydney until October 27th for the Invictus Games Closing Ceremony. Both Harry and Meghan are set to deliver speeches to mark the Games' conclusion.

As Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games, it means a lot to him to participate in the ceremonies. And he's likely thrilled that this year, he has his wife Meghan by his side.
