As the world watched Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s historic royal wedding on Saturday, all eyes were equally glued to the fashion. One of the standout looks came from one of the 600 attendees, who also happens to be Meghan’s BFF and alleged royal matchmaker: Misha Nonoo.
Nonoo is a fashion designer and designed both of her looks for the royal wedding and reception. For the wedding, she created an A-line, ice blue dress made of Italian silk mikado. However, it was her reception look that stood out the most: a one-shoulder, draped red silk jumpsuit. With this design, Nonoo further certified that jumpsuits are perfectly acceptable attire for any special occasion, considering they’re good enough to wear to a royal wedding reception. She joins myriad stylish celebrities, from Kim Kardashian to Bella Hadid, who have opted to wear glamorous jumpsuits for red-carpet events. French house Chanel even introduced its own bridal pantsuit during its January Paris Haute Couture show.
The beauty of wearing a jumpsuit instead of a dress to a wedding, birthday, or other special event is that you are guaranteed to feel comfortable the whole night and will have no issues boogying on the dance floor. Also, you will need few to no accessories to help finish the look: Add a pair of sparkling earrings, a shiny clutch, and high heels, and you’re set to go.
