The Markles are hardly known for being discreet and settling their differences in private, so it’s not really a surprise that another member of the Duchess of Sussex’s estranged family has made a public plea for her attention.

However, this time, Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr. has begged her on live TV to let him meet his niece or nephew.

The 52-year-old, who hasn’t spoken to Meghan since 2011, appeared on the Live Non E La D’Urso show in Italy, to tell the pregnant duchess that he loves her and he wants their family to be reunited.

“Meghan, if you are watching now and you do see this program, I love you very much, I always have loved you, I’m very proud of you and I wish you an amazing life,” he said.

“I want us to be together as a family.

“Any new baby that comes into a family is a very big deal. I would love to meet the little prince or princess.”

Thomas also addressed the letter he sent to the Queen in 2018, claiming his half-sister is a “danger to the royal family”.

“I wrote that letter in a period of real frustration,” he said.

“She did reply and said I was only distant family and I felt very frustrated by it. I couldn’t believe it, as we were so close growing up as kids.”

In January 2017, Thomas was arrested following a drunken row with his girlfriend, in which he threatened her with a gun. He then vowed he was going to seek help for his alcoholism. He said his attitude has changed since sending that letter and now he just wants them all to be one big happy family.

In January this year, Thomas was reportedly stopped by authorities in Oregon at 1:33am in the morning and arrested for drink driving after his blood alcohol content was .11 percent, according to ET.

The duchess’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, told TMZ: “My son has a serious problem and he needs help, and I hope he gets it.”

Mr Markle Jr’s sister, Samantha, also added: “His drinking is not related to Meghan. He always drank.”
