While not everyone is focused on finally losing those last 20 pounds or de-cluttering their lives, many people will be making a list of resolutions to live a better, more mindful, healthier, etc. life in 2018.

And even future royals need resolutions.

Meghan Markle composed her goals in 2016 — and we’re betting these resolutions are still relevant today, alongside planning the most-anticipated wedding of the year.

Markle published her resolutions to her now-defunct lifestyle blog. Topping the list? Her annual resolutions that she can’t seem to kick.

“Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (a.k.a. actually every) single year,” wrote Markle. “The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks. And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day… It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.”

Her post proves she just may be the royal family’s most relatable member, also including an educational and fitness goal in her list with a promise to study her French and run a marathon.

While the post is no longer online, the Daily Mail shared excerpts from their archives, including Markle’s closing quotes for the lifestyle blog, which she shut down in April 2017.

“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig,” wrote Markle. “What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.”

Thanking her followers for their support, Markle reminded readers to stay true to themselves.

“Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough. Thank you for everything.”

At the closing of the blog, rumors of an engagement began to fly. Now that a royal wedding is in the works, we want The Tig to make a comeback with juicy wedding planning details.
