Meghan Markle's wedding dress has had to be repeatedly altered due to 'health kick'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot in just under a few weeks time but the former actress is still busy making major adjustments ahead of the big day.
According to The Sun, the 36-year-old has reportedly had her wedding dress altered multiple times at London atelier, Ralph and Russo, ahead of May 19.
A royal source revealed to the tabloid: “Like most brides, Meghan has been on a bit of a health kick and has lost a significant amount of weight.”
They continued, “Accordingly, she’s had at least three fittings at Kensington Palace, with the dress taken in each time.”
But does this mean we finally have an indication of what she’ll don on the big day?
According to the source, the royal-in-waiting will wear a ‘breathtaking’ dress at St George’s chapel and it will be ‘more of a show-stopper’ than the Duchess of Cambridge’s Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown.
And although it won’t cost as much as Kate’s £250,000 gown, it’s rumoured to weigh in at £40,000.
But one thing’s certain, it seems Ralph and Russo remains the frontrunner in the royal wedding dress stakes. After all, the Australian design duo – Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo – were behind the former actress’ engagement get-up.
For one of the couple’s portraits on the steps of Frogmore House (their soon-to-be wedding reception venue), the 36-year-old donned a sheer £56,000 fresh-from-the-runway dress.

But there are other serious labels in the running.
Just last week, Christopher Bailey – former chief creative officer of Burberry – was rumoured to be designing Meghan’s dress.
Meanwhile, Emilia Wickstead and the Duchess of Cambridge’s go-to label, Erdem, are also sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard.
But if it’s anything like the 2011 royal wedding, we’ll just have to wait until Meghan graces the aisle to find out.
