Meghan's constant bump holding is 'just for the cameras', claims expert

While pregnant women all over the world may cradle their baby bumps all day long without anyone batting an eyelid, that’s not the case when you’re Meghan Markle.

Ever since the Duchess of Sussex stepped out at the British Fashion Awards in December to present her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller, with the British designer of the year award, the former actress has been criticized for how she’s held her growing bump.

Throughout the presentation, Meghan lovingly placed her two hands on her bump, as she stood on stage and watched the designer make her speech.

People called her “such an actress” and asked if she thinks she’s Demi Moore, who famously posed naked on Vanity Fair cradling her baby bump.

Since then, Meghan has appeared out-and-about on numerous royal visits with her hands on her bump, which has bizarrely made a lot of people uncomfortable.

“This is the Duchess of Showbiz we have here,” Jo Elvin, editor of You Magazine told the Daily Mail.

“It smacks to me of a focus that’s contrived and relentlessly photo-op ready,” Elvin said.

“Meghan would be well advised to take the ‘world’s only pregnant woman’ vibes down a notch or two.”

On the other hand, hypnobirthing expert, Katharine Graves, told the Daily Mail that she believes cradling a bump is totally natural and people should stop slamming Meghan for following her natural instincts.

Whatever people think, it seems Meghan and Harry have no time for the haters, as they are preparing for their baby’s arrival in a few months’ time.

The pair are said to be building a mum and baby yoga studio so Meghan can practice her favourite exercise with her adorable tot in tow.

It’s also being claimed that the 34-year-old Duke and 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex are decorating their unborn bub’s gender-free nursery with vegan paint.

“Meghan has been looking long and hard at paints for the Sussex nursery,” an insider told The Sun.

“Rather than opt for fashionable Farrow and Ball paint in favoured shades such as Wevet, Peignoir and Pavilion Grey and Salmon, the Sussex’s are much in favour of The Organic & Natural Paint Co’s Auro range for the nursery.”

It’s believed Meghan wants to make sure no animals were harmed in the making of the paint.

The former “Suits” star previously told Best Health magazine that she maintains a vegan diet from Monday to Friday.

“When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends,” she said.

“It’s not a diet; it’s lifestyle eating.”

The Duke and Duchess are also reportedly installing a $90,000 eco boiler and childproof windows at their new Windsor home.
