Melania Trump follows Meghan Markle's lead in boatneck Roland Mouret dress

When in Rome, eat pasta. When in London, take some style cues from the royals.

Just days before her trip to Europe, Melania Trump stepped out in a dress from one of Kate Middleton’s go-to labels, Erdem. It’s only fair, then, that she has now landed in London in a Roland Mouret dress — exactly one day after Meghan Markle wore the label during her Ireland visit. Big surprise: It has a bateau neckline, a Meghan signature.

While the duchess opted for a darker number with longer sleeves and a waterfall frill at the front, the taupe, cap-sleeved Darley midi dress worn by the first lady is more in keeping with her usual style. She added a slim red belt to the formfitting number, which costs $1,365.

FLOTUS turned to an old faithful for her shoes, once again wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.

While the Trumps will have a royal rendezvous during their U.K. trip, the duchess is not expected to be involved. The first couple, whose arrival has been met with protests and even a giant inflatable baby modeled after the president, will have tea with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle on Friday. Could be a good excuse to bust out the Givenchy?
