Aside from being a genius Sean Spicer impersonator, writer, and comedic actress, McCarthy is also a designer with her own line. Perfectly for the first day of spring, she paired the black top with a yellow floral skirt and yellow shoes.

Peplum has long been trending — Kate Middleton, anyone? — so McCarthy and her design team are clearly on the pulse. Plus, they actually think about the consumer: This top is stretchy! Her website describes the top in this way: “Designed with a scoop neckline and bracelet sleeves, this stretch-knit peplum top adds instant elegance to your ensemble. It’s fitted in all the right places, but has the ideal amount of flounce thanks to its understated high-low hemline. Zip closure at back.”

McCarthy, who studied at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, has said of the line that she set out to make clothing for all women. “We don’t stop at a certain size or shape. I find it very bizarre that there are stores for women that are one size and shape, and separate stores for another,” she said. “It’s like saying, ‘I’m making men’s clothing but only for Southerners, and only for Southerners who like this kind of music.'”
