Hollywood legend Mia Farrow reveals daughter Quincy in hospital battling coronavirus

Mia Farrow has asked her almost 400,000 Twitter followers to “send up a prayer” for daughter Quincy after she revealed she is in hospital battling the coronavirus.

The actor revealed 26-year-old “had no alternative” but seek hospital treatment for the deadly condition.

Posting on Twitter Friday (10 April), Farrow wrote: “A personal request. If you would be so kind, would you please send up a prayer for my daughter Quincy.

“Today she had no alternative but to go the hospital for help in her struggle against the coronavirus.”

The post was met with huge support, receiving over 10,000 comments from well-wishers, as well as 140,000 likes and almost 11,000 retweets.

Actor Rosanna Arquette responded: “Oh Mia, lots of Prayers and so much love to Quincy and your family.”

Journalist Mehdi Hasan wrote: “So sorry to hear that Mia. Hope and pray she recovers soon.”

Actor Jane Lynch tweeted: “Indeed. Love and prayers.”

Farrow is a keen social media user, and just last week posted about Quincy and her wedding to husband Ethan.

On Instagram she posted a photo of the wedding day with the caption: “The day my youngest daughter, Quincy married wonderful Ethan. A year later their baby Coretta came along.

“Happiest memories rolling by from home in lockdown.”

Farrow has fourteen children, four of which are biological, the rest being adopted.

Quincy was born Kaeli-Shae in 1993 before Farrow adopted her the following year.

Farrow was in a relationship with director and actor Woody Allen between 1980 and 1992.

While with Allen, she started in 12 of his movies, including Broadway Danny Rose and Zelig.

The relationship ended when it became known Allen was in a relationship with her daughter Soon-Yi Previn, whom Farrow adopted with ex-husband, the composer Andre Previn.

Before her marriage to Previn, she was married to music and film icon Frank Sinatra.
