Mike Tindall says Princess Anne likely knows of his I'm A Celeb trouser splitting confession

After leaving the jungle, Mike Tindall has commented on his admission that his trousers split when dancing in front of Princess Anne.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the former England rugby star revealed that while his mother-in-law wasn't watching his stint on I'm A Celeb, his wife likely told Anne about his confession.

"I don't think she was watching, but I think Zara might have told her," the 44 year old told presenter Susanna Reid.

"I'm pretty sure [the trouser splitting incident] is probably etched into her memory bank for all the wrong reasons, so I'll probably bashfully hide away from that one when I get home."

Speaking from the Australian Gold Coast, Tindall shed some light on which members of the Royal Family were watching him during his time on the ITV reality series.

"I don't right now, but I'm sure I'll find out at some point," he said. "Christmas is around the corner, let's see if some interesting gifts come underneath that tree."

The former international rugby player and podcaster also said: "there's some sense of humour kicking around in the family, so yeah I'll wait for some interesting gifts and see how many people were watching it".

Tindall narrowly missed making it to the final of the popular ITV reality show but surprised viewers when he was greeted by wife Zara upon his exit.

Whilst he was on the show, Good Morning Britain discussed whether or not it was "embarrassing" for the British royals that Tindall was taking part in reality television.

Susanna Reid — one of the presenters — said to him during his appearance on the breakfast show, "I think we've all come to the conclusion that you've done them absolutely proud. Princess Beatrice returned to social media after a year to say '[Tindall] is just the greatest'".

Tindall also discussed his now-infamous 'budgie smuggler' swimming costumes and how he found the most challenging part of his time in the jungle was being apart from his wife and kids.

"I think that's probably the hardest thing about the whole show, especially when you've got three little ones as well, is being away for that period of time".
