The past week has seen the royal family has been sharing sweet memories of the late Prince Philip, who passed away last week at the age of 99. Among the tributes have been some rare candid shots of the royals in their everyday lives, like the adorable photo of the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince George in a carriage that Prince William shared along with a statement about his grandfather.

Today Mike Tindall, a former professional rugby player and husband to Philip's granddaughter Zara Tindall, joined in with a sweet Instagram post, featuring a candid photo of the prince sharing a snack with his great-granddaughter Mia (the eldest of Zara and Mike's three children) on the porch of a log cabin.

"It’s been a very sad week but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories both personal and shared," Tindall wrote in the caption on his Instagram. "A devoted family man who we will forever miss but always love."

Like the photo of George and Philip, this shot was also credited to the Kate Middleton, whose chops as an avid amateur photographer have been on full display recently.

It's not the first time we've seen moment of Philip being a doting great-granddad in recent days, of course. Earlier this week, the official Twitter account of the royal family shared a photo of the late prince and the Queen surrounded by their great-grandchildren in 2018.

Likewise, William and Kate's official Twitter also shared a precious snap of the Cambridges, the Queen, and Prince Philip at Balmoral in 2015.
