Miley Cyrus had said she "needs boring" when it comes to her next relationship.

It comes as the Party in the USA singer confirmed last week that she had split from boyfriend Cody Simpson, whom she had been dating since last October.

"I usually end up complaining they're boring, but that's what I need. I need boring," the 27-year-old said on Barstool Sports' Call Her Daddy podcast. "I definitely, definitely need a calming, I need an anchor, I need a weight."

She added: "So it's really important that I feel fulfilled and, yeah, they have to bring something to the table."

Cyrus, who is pansexual, explained she was after someone who "looked after themselves" specifically in terms of "clean eating and self maintenance".

"I now no longer look at any sort of AA meetings because I myself, I don't really want to help someone on their journey of addiction, because I need to take care of my own self," Cyrus shared.

Announcing the end of her relationship with Simpson, Cyrus said they would still be friends.

The split came one year after Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who dated on-and-off for 10 years, announced the end of their marriage less than a year after tying the knot.

However, Cyrus recently described the period she spent with Hemsworth as “an amazing time in my life”.
