Mom left ‘terrified’ after chilling conversation with 4-year-old daughter: ‘She had a past life’

A mom is going viral on TikTok after sharing the chilling “memory” her daughter claimed to have from a “past life.”

Frederica Severinsen shared her story in response to a recent TikTok trend, in which parents are sharing the time they realized their kids “may be a psychopath.”

Severinsen’s video might not fit that exact prompt, but it certainly left TikTokers feeling creeped out.

Her clip, which has nearly 700,000 views, began when Severinsen told her daughter that her friend was having a baby named Esther. Severinsen’s daughter, who was 4 years old at the time, responded by saying she already had a friend named Esther — although their family didn’t know anyone with that name.

“Oh, I know an Esther Mervin, but she lives really far away and she’s in prison,” Severinsen’s daughter allegedly said.

Severinsen was creeped out, so she “scoured” the internet for someone who had that name. She couldn’t find anyone.

Then, she checked Ancestry.com and found an Esther Mervin — but she’d been dead for years. According to the video, that Esther did live “far away” (in America, Severinsen lives in the U.K.) and she’d been in prison in the early 1900s.

With that knowledge, Severinsen asked her daughter how she knew Esther. This time, the 4-year-old apparently said, “Oh, it was a long time ago [and] she’s dead now.”

“And that was it,” Severinsen concluded. “And I’m terrified of her.”

Needless to say, TikTok users were pretty freaked out too.

“Kids are scary,” one user wrote.

“Omg she had a past life!” another added.

“Run for the hills,” another wrote.

Other users pointed out that the incident felt a bit flimsy, as it could’ve just been a coincidence. Still, the viral video added to the ongoing trend of parents sharing their kids’ creepy behavior online.

For example, another mom recently went viral after claiming her young son knew she was pregnant before she did.
