Mom divides social media after sharing how she lives in a camper with her 5 kids: ‘It seems too small’
For this writer, who has no kids, raising even one child sounds impossible.
Take that, multiply it by five and confine everything to a 43-foot-long space? Now that sounds unfathomable.
That’s just a normal day for Kat Elizabeth, though. The TikToker lives in a mobile camper full-time, along with her husband and her five young children.

If that sounds way too hard to imagine, don’t worry. Elizabeth offered a tour of her confined, on-the-go lifestyle, thanks to a viral video that’s now drawn more than 5 million views.
“People ask how I live in a camper with five kids, so here it is,” Elizabeth says at the start of her video.
As the mom shows, she and her husband sleep in a private bedroom, along with their infant son. The room also contains their washer and dryer and is right next to a full bathroom.
In their kitchen, the family has a large, residential fridge, plus a full stove, oven, a couch and a four-person dining table.
The very back of the camper features the kids’ room, where Elizabeth’s other four children sleep. The room features two bunks, plus a private bathroom and plenty of storage for their toys.
TikTok users had some strong reactions to the family’s lifestyle, but not all of them were positive. Some commenters criticized Elizabeth, saying the space was too tiny to support five kids.
“THAT is too small for them,” one user wrote. “You can survive this but this is for you not for them.”
“Cool but sad they’re all in one bedroom,” another added.
“No type of privacy,” another wrote.
Elizabeth wasn’t afraid to explain herself, though. In her video’s comments, the TikToker wrote that the situation works well for her family currently, and that she “never said” it’d be permanent.
She also explained the reason her family chose to live this way, which was to be near her husband who travels constantly for work.
Many users were extremely supportive of the choice. Some even said they were jealous.
“The trailer is gorgeous! I applaud you for your ingenuity so your family is able to stay together,” one user wrote.
“I would actually love to live there,” another claimed.
Days later, Elizabeth posted a follow-up video addressing even more questions — including how she homeschools her children and what she plans to do in the future.
