Shopping for the perfect Mother’s Day gift can be a little stressful at the best of times, and especially so while we’re all busy staying safe at home. With shipping delays and retailers facing large backlogs in online orders, it’s best to get an early start in order to make sure that your gift arrives by May 13.
If you’ve yet to purchase something, you’ll want to take note of shipping deadlines, since each retailer may be working with various delivery partners in order to ship out packages. One major deadline to note - today is the last day to place your online orders at Nordstrom and still receive free standard shipping in the United States.

If you’re not quite ready to decide though, you do still have a little extra time if you’re willing to chip in for express shipping.
In Canada, May 6 is the last day to place your orders with express shipping, and in the U.S., shoppers have until May 7 to ensure that their gifts arrive in time for Mother’s Day with next-business-day delivery. The delay will cost you though, and ranges from an extra $12 - $20 in shipping fees per order.
