From Woman's Day

From the Mary Poppins sequel to the return of Fraggle Rock, Disney has recently been busy delighting nostalgic audiences everywhere. Lucky for us, they just announced plans for another reboot that immediately made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

According to Vulture, Muppet Babies, which originally aired on CBS from 1984 to 1991, is coming back! That's right, get ready to follow the nursery shenanigans of baby Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, and the rest of the Jim Henson gang once again.

After a 25 year-long hiatus, the show will be returning in 2018 on Disney Junior. What won't be coming back though are those adorable, hand-drawn animated characters from the original series. The new baby Muppets will be CGI, and will look at little something like this:

We know, not the same, but we're still just as excited to watch the gang's brand-new adventures. Sure, the show is meant for kids, but there's no rule against parents being excited to watch it, too.

For those of you who need a refresher on the wonderful world of Muppet Babies, take a listen to that oh-so-catchy theme song.
