Condé Nast Union stages 24-hour walkout
Condé Nast Union members who work across brands such as Vanity Fair, Vogue and GQ are launching a 24-hour walkout on Tuesday to protest bargaining practices that the union alleges violate labor law. More than 400 union members are set to strike in front of Condé Nast's One World Trade Center offices. The union also planned an Oscars-themed picket line to coincide with the Oscars nominations announcements as well as a rally featuring an "awards ceremony" at 1 p.m. EST. {Hollywood Reporter}
A "Barbie" press tour fashion book is coming
Andrew Mukamal and Margot Robbie are publishing a book about the fashion of the "Barbie" press tour titled "Barbie: The World Tour", Mukamal announced on Instagram on Monday. The book includes red carpet outfits and never-before-seen looks all photographed by Craig McDean. "Barbie: The World Tour" will be available March 8. Lauren Chan, founder of Henning, and Universal Standard teamed up to create a limited-edition luxury collection with a size range of 00-40. The collaboration reimagines nine Henning pieces including suiting, jackets, tops and jeans. The RealReal and FIT unveil upcycled winter coat collection
The RealReal and a group of students from The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) collaborated on a collection of winter coats made of upcycled materials from The RealReal's inventory of items unfit for sale. Each coat was evaluated by a panel of judges including The RealReal's President and COO Rati Sahi Levesque, VIP stylist Erin Walsh and model Pat Cleveland. The eight coats range in price from $345 to $445 and are available now on therealreal.com and in the brand's Soho, New York boutique.
