It’s not every day that the world pays tribute to the selfie, although you wouldn’t know it from looking at celebrities’ social media feeds. (We’re looking at you, Kardashians!)

But the famous, including Alyssa Milano and Ava DuVernay, still went all out for National Selfie Day on June 21. Here are some of the best snapshots they shared.

Alyssa Milano

The Charmed alum showed off a natural look in an understated photo accompanying a simple greeting.

Ava Duvernay

The director shared several selfies with famous friends. The best was probably the one that featured Oprah (because obviously), Denzel Washington, and many more impressive names.

The Muppets

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and friends — make that hecklers — treated us to Muppet selfies. Everyone likes the muppets, right?

Ellen DeGeneres

Remember that awesome selfie DeGeneres took while hosting the Oscars in 2014? Time named it one of the 100 most influential images of all time. She reminded us of it with a throwback post that also qualified for #TBT. The photo was obviously taken long before the sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Gordon-Levitt reminisced on a selfie snapped apparently behind the scenes of the 1999 teen classic 10 Things I Hate About You. He and co-stars Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, and Larisa Oleynik were obviously ahead of their time.

Mayim Bialik

Jim Parsons co-starred in Bialik’s selfie from the Big Bang Theory set. And, oh, did fans of the show love it. “You two are just so funny together!” and “LOVE THIS” they commented.

Make sure to check social media tomorrow, when there will be almost as many selfies shared by celebs.
