People Say These 15 Experiences Are Absolute Musts Before You Die, And I'm Updating My Bucket List As We Speak
While there is so much to experience when we're alive, some people may experience certain things more than others. So when Reddit user u/Leather_Crab8301 asked: "What’s one thing you think everyone should experience at least once in their life?" so many people had opinions on the matter. Here's what they said below.
1."Living alone."
2."Moving to another city from the one they grew up in. If they can’t move, at least traveling to another country."
"This is one of my biggest fears. I am 35 and still live in the town I grew up in. Never lived more than 15 minutes away. Now my kids are going to go to the same school I went to. I really want to live somewhere else near the water or mountains — but I think I feel too guilty. My sister married a military guy at 18 and then traveled all the time. My brother moved out of state. I live on the same street as my parents. I’m the closest family they have. I want to live somewhere else, though."
3."Working in customer service."
4."Seeing the Northern Lights."
"I finally got to experience that here in WA about six months or so ago. It was a bucket list item checked off. It was magical."
5."Orgasm."
6."For someone to be proud of you, whatever it may be."
7."The love of a dog!"
8."Everyone must experience failure."
9."A total eclipse of the sun."
10."Being stranded in the wilderness. That shit is the quickest character builder ever. You realize how frail everything is and walk away a different person, thankful for every little thing in life."
11."Working in the service industry. Maybe people would treat workers better, knowing they’re servers, not servants."
12."Learn another language. One of the most profound experiences I've ever had is reading an idea/thought that just doesn’t exist in English. It'll help when you do all this traveling people are recommending. French or Spanish, depending on where you live. Or both. I really want to learn Arabic, too, but there are sooooo many dialects..."
13."Trying something completely out of your comfort zone, like skydiving or taking an improv class."
14."Love."
"Love is what every person desires, and everyone should hopefully have it in their lifetime. Love makes life worth living."
15."Skinny dipping. It's such a free feeling!"
