On America’s Got Talent, NFL player and magician Jon Dorenbos stopped by to perform a little street magic, and he wowed actor and comedian Marlon Wayans with a particularly lucrative trick. Dorenbos asked Wayans what a magician most often says when he or she grabs a dollar bill from somebody. Wayans said, “I don’t know, but a brother will say, ‘Gimme my money back.’”
Holding a dollar from Wayans’s wallet, Dorenbos said, “A lot of people say, ‘Can you take that one and turn it into a hundred?’ I say I’m not that good, so I tell people if you can cut your expectations in half, I’ll blow you away.” Dorenbos then deftly turned his dollar bill into a fifty. Dorenbos went on to transform that fifty into a hundred, wowing Wayans (who turned quite the profit).
Dorenbos was a finalist in Season 11, placing third behind winner Grace Vanderwaal. But with tricks like these, who really needs a million dollars?
