Nick Jonas Gives First Interview on Newborn Daughter Malti: "She’s a Gift"

One week after Nick Jonas and wife Priyanka Chopra announced their newborn daughter, Malti Marie, was finally home with them following over 100 days in the NICU, the Jonas Brothers singer spoke about his baby girl and his feelings on fatherhood.

"Life is beautiful," Nick said on the Today Show yesterday. "She’s a gift, and we’re just so blessed that she’s back home."

He also addressed the fact that both his brothers have also welcomed daughters. Joe Jonas has daughter Willa with wife Sophie Turner, and Kevin Jonas has two daughters, Alena and Valentina, with wife Danielle Jonas.

"Jonas family keeps growing—a lot of girls," Nick said. "No boys. My parents are thrilled. Grandparents of now four beautiful granddaughters."

In his Instagram post announcing Malti's return home, Nick praised his mom and wife for being such great mothers. The post was shared on Mother's Day and featured the first photo of Malti, who was born in January via surrogate.

He wrote: "On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home."

Priyanka shared the same post on her Instagram.

"Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and care takers out there, but I want to take a minute to say a special Mother’s Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother’s Day," Nick added. "Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you. You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you."
