Nicki Minaj Revealed the Sex of Her Baby With a Little Help From Beyoncé
She announced the arrival earlier this month.
It's been a few weeks since Nicki Minaj announced that she and her husband, Kenneth Petty, had welcomed a new member to the family. However, the announcement didn't come with many details, like the baby's name or sex. And though Minaj didn't break the news in a huge way, she posted a gallery of notes from her famous friends and revealed that the little one is a boy. In her latest post, Minaj posted notes from Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Burberry creative director Riccardo Tisci, and others congratulating the new arrival.
In the caption, Minaj revealed that she was "so grateful & in love with my son" and that he is her "favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world."
"Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time," Minaj wrote alongside her gallery. "It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world."
Beyoncé even addressed Minaj by her real name, Onika.
"Onika, Welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family. B," her note reads.

The news that she had a son came in a slightly more subtle way than her pregnancy. Back in July, Minaj let her followers know she was expecting with a Technicolor maternity shoot.

Minaj first mentioned the possibility of motherhood when she featured on Chance the Rapper's song "Zanies and Fools" back in 2019.
"He the Clyde to my Bonnie, 'bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy," she rapped. "Ooh, I remember when I cried like, 'Why me?' / Now, I wouldn’t exchange my life for Armani."
