From Woman's Day

Although The Masked Singer began is a singing competition and guessing game hybrid, it may be able to add another genre to its list: match making show. An it's all thanks to judge Nicole Scherzinger and contestant Thingamajig, who was recently revealed to be NBA player Victor Oladipo.

Earlier in the season, Scherzinger fell hard for the basketball star's sweet, croony voice and personality. During the Nov. 6 episode, Scherzinger told her fellow judge Jenny McCarthy, that Thingamajig is "just as sweet as pie." McCarthy answered, "he's meant for you," to which Scherzinger said, "I think I'm gonna have to date him."

And she just might. After Oladipo took his mask off an revealed the reason he wen ton the show, McCarthy asked the question that was on everyone's mind: Are you gong to date Nicole. Oladipo wasn't shy when it came to answering.

"We can go any where, any time, any place," he said. Scherzinger didn't respond right away, but maybe she's saving her answer for when the cameras go away.

The two have connected many times over the season. Scherzinger's big guess for the Thingamajig's identity this week was retired NBA player Dennis Rodman, but that's not the direction the fans have gone in. Most viewers think the Thingamajig is NBA player Victor Oladipo. One of the big clues that points to him is the "revealing item" that the Thingamajig brought to the Nov. 6 show. It was a book about sign language, which is a language Oladipo reportedly uses with his sister who is deaf. When Thingamajig revealed this his physical clue, a book about sign language, "taught me to communicate with others, which is the most important thingamajig," Scherzinger's heart literally melted. She even exclaimed, "That's my husband, guys. That's my husband right there."

And the love it mutual. During his rendition of The Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," the Thingamajig seemed to be singing right to Scherzinger when he sang the line, "Please don't leave me, girl," and pointed to the judges' table. "I'm not going anywhere, honey," she answered. Their "romance" has become such a thing on the show that the series' YouTube page made a video compilation of their interactions for National Boyfriend Day on Oct. 3.

The internet was clearly moved by Scherzinger and Oladipo's love connection. After Oladipo's elimination, fans were begging for the two to get together.

Obviously, just because we want something to happen doesn't mean we will. But it would be a beautiful thing to see.
