Nielsen Streaming Top 10: ‘One Piece’ Debuts at No. 2 With 1.3 Billion Minutes Watched as ‘Suits’ Continues 11-Week Lead

Surprising no one, “Suits” is the No. 1 title on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings for the Aug. 28-Sept. 3 viewing window. With 2.5 billion minutes watched, this is the 11th week in a row that the long-concluded USA Network drama has taken the top position thanks to its addition to Netflix in June. If “Suits” lands on top again next week — which looks likely — it will beat “Ozark” to become the show with the highest number of first place finishes. Regardless, the series is still nearly doubling the viewership of the competition.

But “One Piece,” the No. 2 title of the week, still managed to impress. Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the popular manga of the same name debuted within the last four days of this viewing period and clocked 1.3 billion minutes watched. According to Nielsen, “One Piece” also brought in a more diverse audience than its competitors, with a 25% Hispanic and 19% African American audience.

Last week’s No. 2 winner, “Who Is Erin Carter?,” fell slightly to third place. Viewership remained even, with the limited series bringing in just over 1 billion minutes watched both weeks, although it was also available for a full week this time around as opposed to last week’s four days of availability.

At No. 4, where it often lives as of late, was the animated preschool series “Bluey” with just over 1 billion minutes watched. It was followed by another two chart regulars: “Grey’s Anatomy” (870 million minutes) and “NCIS” (797 million minutes).

“You Are So Not Invited to my Bat Mitzvah” took the No. 7 position this week after debuting as last week’s No. 1 streaming movie while failing to make the overall chart. The Adam Sandler comedy was watched for 715 million minutes.”

Next on the chart was “Cocomelon,” another popular animated children’s series, with 643 million minutes watched. The last two positions went to “S.W.A.T.” (643 million minutes) and “The Big Bang Theory” (590 million minutes), two CBS series that appear on the chart every so often.

Also of note this week is “Ahsoka,” the Star Wars series that debuted at No. 5 with 829 million minutes watched last week. During the Aug. 28-Sept. 3 window, the series fell off the chart, instead landing as the No. 5 streaming original with 487 million minutes watched — though only one additional episode was released during this window as opposed to the two that debuted the week before.
