North Texans rejoice: A week of rain with highs in 80s forecast to come our way

Slightly cooler temperatures in North Texas on Sunday will usher in chances of rain overnight and into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Tarrant County should expect highs Sunday around 96 degrees, with overnight lows in the 70s, according to the service. In the evening, Texans could start seeing rain move southeast from Oklahoma, bringing storm clusters through the region.

Monday morning, chances of rain are expected to continue, with a 30% chance in Tarrant County and no predicted precipitation in Dallas County.

North Texans hoping for wet weather and cooler temps should expect some relief over the coming week, with rain chances continuing at least through Friday and highs in the 80s all week. Highs aren’t expected next week to go above 85 degrees on Tuesday, with the coolest afternoon highs coming Friday at 80 degrees.

Rain chances are expected to linger around 50% through Friday.
