Few kitchen gadgets are as versatile as the humble blender. They’re affordable, easy to use, and can whip up hundreds of recipes at the touch of a button.

Amazon’s Deal of the Day today is a powerful yet compact version that’s ideal for smoothies, sauces and soups, and rings in at just $80, down from its regular price of $100.

What is it?

The NutriBullet NB50100C Pro 1000 Single Serve Blender offers a small but mighty way to blend your favourite ingredients together in order to create delicious meals.

NutriBullet is one of the leading space-saving blenders on the market, and uses its signature nutrient extraction process to optimize the nutritional potential of your food. This innovative technology transforms high-fibre fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds into silky, nutrient-dense smoothies that are easy to digest and absorb, and quickly blends them into the perfect consistency.

Each NutriBullet comes with seven pieces that easily come apart to wash, including a travel-friendly tumbler and lid that’s perfect for breakfasts on the go.

What shoppers really think

Although the NutriBullet is a relative newcomer to Amazon, shoppers are already loving it for its impressive blending power and ease of use.

“We've had a couple of blenders in the past and I totally see why Nutribullet is better,” reads one review. “Clean up is ridiculously easy by comparison, this also feels more straightforward and easy to use than large, clunky blenders. If you're only making drinks for a few people, this is way better than using a traditional blender.”

Another aspect of the blender that’s been winning the NutriBullet major points is its ability to easily blend frozen fruits and ice in just 60 seconds.

“I absolutely love this new machine to make smoothies,” reads another. “It blends everything nice and stops automatically when it’s done after one minute...Very easy to use and clean!”

Though some reviews have said that this machine can get quite loud when in use, they say it’s still an improvement from previous NutriBullet models that made even more noise while running.

The verdict

Since this blender is an easy way to get all the benefits of a full-sized blender minus the bulk, the NutriBullet is a great choice if your kitchen is short on space. It’s also an affordable option that certainly comes in handy if you’re often making smoothies for yourself.

The only downside may be its size, since the NutriBullet is on the smaller side, and might works best if you’re only looking to serve one or two people at a time.
