The Official Trailer for ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Breaks Streaming Records with 14+ Million Viewers

Paramount Network

The anticipation surrounding Yellowstone season five has never been higher. The official trailer debuted last week and it’s already smashing major records on its own.

According to Deadline, Paramount Network reported that the season five trailer “shattered records” and earned approximately 14.4 million views and 1.7 million interactions on the same day of its release on September 29. The extremely large number of views is three times the amount the season four trailer earned upon its debut.

The trailer introduced John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) stepping into the role of Governor. And what does that look like? Only the new season will tell.

The first look trailer earned a lot of engagement and reshares on social media. Just to give you a small idea, the Yellowstone season five trailer was shared 190,000 times on social media and claimed the top spots on TikTok and Facebook as the most watched videos related to television at the time of its official debut. (Talk about impressive.)

Back in August, Paramount Network released a teaser for Yellowstone season five during the MTV Video Music Awards. The short clip shows the return of the Dutton family and John says in a voiceover, “We’ll show the world who we are and what we do.” If that weren’t enough, it also teased that “all will be revealed” in the new installment.

Saddle up, partners: Yellowstone season five will premiere on Sunday, November 13 and brand new episodes will stream exclusively on Paramount Network.
